Default Mary Chapin Carpenter Fans?

I've been a fan since the early 90's, but only saw her live for the first-time last night.

At 65 years old, her voice is still sweet and clear. Her guitar skills accompanied her voice beautifully as she rotated four acoustics (all John Greven models, I believe) throughout the performance.

A true performer.

Our group does Rhythm of the Blues and Passionate Kisses. We realize that many, if not most, people in the audience won’t recognize those songs but we don’t care - it’s great stuff and we enjoy playing it

I've seen her several times. Great songwriter. She has toured several times in recent years with Shawn Colvin with each taking turns singing their songs. Great stuff.

Great songs. She did Passionate Kisses last night... then thanked those who sang along saying "It helps me imagine what Taylor Swift feels like"..

Default Mary Chapin Carpenter Fans?

Huge fan here. Have followed her music since the late ‘80s. Have seen her live a handful of times, most recently just before Covid with Shawn Colvin. I still miss John Jennings though. He and Mary did some tasty musical stuff together. I love her songwriting and her guitar playing.
She’s got quite a collection of guitars. When she performed her “One Night Lonely” gig at Wolftrap during the height of the pandemic, she played her two Greven SJs, a Rockbridge dread, a Huss & Dalton OM, and John’s Martin D-35.
With Rockbridge and H & D both being in the same general area where she lives in Virginia, it’s cool to see her playing those guitars. Good stuff!
Best,
Jayne

Then you live in a beautiful area. A dear friend of mine lives in Nellysford and I have visited her a number of times. Always a lovely trip.

Sometimes when my jam group gets to slow and droney, I break out ''I Feel Lucky'' and get things fired up again!

Been a big fan since she was a pup. I think her songwriting is as good as it gets, and I love her voice and delivery. I’ve seen her twice.

Another big fan. I have several of her albums. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be "Stones in the Road."

Saw her live several years ago, and she was absolutely charming. Fine guitar player too.

Loved her broadcasts from home during the pandemic. Quite a talent to be able to solo in front of a tiny camera in your kitchen and reach out and touch folks! Her Greven sounded fantastic....and I love the story behind how it came to her.

Count me in as a longtime fan. She has written many classics. Beautiful voice and excellent guitar player. Her tiny concerts from her kitchen were always great.

Mary Chapin Carpenter is quite a lady. I saw her perform quite a while ago in Ithaca, NY, one of her first concerts after her pulmonary embolism. Great performance, and a very emotional comeback. I've appreciated her music for decades.
