Default How man guitars have you bought and sold?

Now that we have the internet, how many guitars have you bought and sold via online shopping? I bet I'm at around 20.

Sidenote: this is my 3000th post at the AGF. And they said I'd never last.

I've bought and sold about 60. Currently have 20 in my collection.

Sold a few and donated a few to a high school. I bought a Strat locally on craigslist but played it first.

Bought - 0
Sold - 0

I've only owned maybe 7 guitars in 32 years. Never done an online transaction with a guitar.

bought 6, sold 4... so I'm down to 2 at the moment (yeah, I know, I'm not much of a seller/buyer... I tend to get attached to 1 or 2 guitars and just hold onto them!).

I bought and sold several hundred guitars initiated online before I became a dealer. I know it's best to play guitars before you buy them but that's not always possible. Even here in LA with dozens of great guitar shops within a half hour drive from my house the pickings can be slim if you want something specific. You want a CA Cargo, Sam Ash had one, how about a RainSong, GC had two but not the model I wanted, maybe a Martin 00-15, good luck. You get the picture.

I tallied this just the other day...and well I've bought at least 30 in the last 5 years and traded all but 8. Mainly upgrading gear from my first Fender DG-9 all the way up to my new Martin fleet.

Too many,
I had the same guitar for over 10yrs, a guild d25 that I sold recently,
regret that big time
I have had Taylors, Martins, a Takamine, a Seagull, a couple of Larrivees,(my favorites so far)
trying to find the one,
by the way , I dont really think there is just one
for every purpose, some good for strumming and some good for fingerpicking stuff.
so , I would say in the last 2 yrs I have bought and sold about 15 guitars,
that will stop soon, I'm tired of buying and selling, I need to work on my chops more and stop gassing,as a matter of fact I am thinking of owning just one guitar for a while

Holy mackeral...way too many...dozens. Perhaps the most bizarre is that I traded away, repurchased and again traded away one Goodall. Buffalo Bros. had-untill recently-three guitars that I once owned (one sold...it's two now). I have four currently.

Nothing like an obscessive-compulsive personality to fuel GAS.
