Default 2002 Martin OM-18V w/ OHSC

2002 Martin OM-18V for sale. I played through about a dozen Martin OMs and OM-18 style builds from small shop builders a few years back, when this guitar nearly fell into my lap. It blew me away. I've played a number of these over the years, but this one has opened up at a level I haven't really experienced in a modern Martin. It's the best sounding OM-18V I've come in contact with.

It was definitely a primary working guitar before I took ownership, with natural play wear throughout. There's evidence of an old soundhole pickup and various small nicks, dings, and scuffs. Overall, however, it's held up very well and has aged beautifully. It has a powerful yet open sound with the classic Sitka/Mahogany voice. It sounds like a much older guitar, honestly.

I have it set up with D'Addario EJ16s and had a K&K Pure Mini + Volume pickup installed. There's also a strap button on the neck heel that was there when I bought it. I swapped the tuners for some Waverly-style Gotohs, but the originals are also included. The original Martin hardshell case is in good shape overall, but missing one of the latches. It also has a replacement handle installed.

SOLD

I have excellent feedback with over 15 years of buying and selling on TGP and eBay. Feel free to reach out with any particular questions!

I've got one of these from the same year. Best Martin I've ever played.

They don't come up for sale very often. There hasn't been one on Reverb for a few months.

Some say these are Martin's best-kept secret. I wouldn't disagree.

GLWS! And no affiliation with the seller.

Oh geez. I really like the vintage series, and the 18 is pretty dang rare.
If I didn’t just add one last week I would have already jumped on this.
Best of luck. This should sell fast.

We sold a lot of OM18Vs and OM28Vs in the shop I worked in 20 years ago. These are great guitars from one of Martin's most productive eras. Good luck with your sale.
