View down to Stechelburg, in the Lauterbrunnen valley, from Mürren, Switzerland.

Some fantastic pictures there. Hard to imagine the grandeur of the landscape from the photo but must be awesome to stand there and soak it all up.

You're exactly right, you can't capture the magnitude of it all in one frame. For me, it's the most beautiful area I've ever been to. This one does a pretty good job of dealing with the scale.

Lauterbrunnen and valley from Wengen, Switzerland.

Canberra - new Parliament House looking across Lake Burley Griffin toward Anzac Parade and the Australian War Memorial with Mt Ainslie in the background - the flagpole* on top of New Parliament House.

*The flag flown from the 81 metres (266 feet) flagpole is 12.8 by 6.4 m (42 by 21 ft), about the size of half a tennis court. The flagpole weighs 250 tonnes and is made of polished stainless steel from Wollongong.

Your Parliament house is a slightly different style to ours but both are mighty impressive buildings. The big difference is that we are not allowed on the roof of ours - probably because we don't have a lawn to cut up there.

Yeah, it's a shame there isn't at least a "like" button! Seems like every time I pop back into this thread there are a bunch of amazing images and I can't comment on all of them!

I used to be a avid photographer, I gave my equipment to my brother in-law. Worth a bit over 3 grand but I'd rather give to him than to sell it. Here is my work when I was a hardcore hobbyist.
