Many times I would have appreciated it if the guitarist checked had their tuning in between songs....
All kidding aside, I think tuners are a place where large manufacturers can scrimp too far. Ymmv
Fwiw, my FBV is much less work with the Steinbergers I put on.

If set up properly, and strung correctly, and tuned with a GOOD tuner. You'll have no problem.

Bought a new one this year. I had to cut all the nut slots lower, right off the bat.

Didn't used to be the case.

Added a set of 18-1 Grover Milk Bottles and good to go.

Mine came with Grover globes, probably 15:1. They work great and hold tuning very well. I’m thinking about switching to Klusons with tulip knobs, just because I like the look and they’re lighter.

Also, I ordered a Duesenberg Les Trem which, I know, introduces a whole new dynamic into the tuning stability issue.

Roger, let us know how the Duesenberg Les Trem is when you get it.
