It is a gift to be able to make music with family, and you are also right on about creating lasting memories within the family. None of us last forever, and it's a positive thing to create a performance work like this that will be around in the future.

When my children were young, over a period of about 7-8 years, we recorded Christmas carols in multi-part harmony each Christmas season, with different family members having lead roles on different songs, so that we could eventually put a Christmas album together. Now my wife and I have become grand parents and our children have their own children, and every Christmas each of our families listens to this Christmas CD album recorded 25-30 years ago. It really is a treasure, and it supports your comments very well.

Yes, I'm sure it was an education for her (as it would be for me) to be part of the behind the scenes work. The more natural the production seems is a reflection of how much time and work goes into it!

I suppose genetics has something to do with it, along with the ability to work diligently on a project and put in the time and effort to make it happen. I think it was a good experience for Emma to witness the time it takes to think something like this out, step by step, and turn an idea into a final performance.

It was a good and rewarding project for me! And I think it was rewarding for Emma and Ian, too.

Thank you again, Mike. Actually, when I think about all the behind-the-scenes stuff that occurred, I'm delightedly surprised that we were actually able to bring this project to fruition.

In terms of education, it was also a learning experience for me, as well.

Ian and I and the rest of our immediate family have been on the road before, so we know what that is like. Emma has not had that experience yet, but she might one day!
