Slim Body guitar
I like the feel of a slimmer body. I know about the Lowden Studio and the Avalon
Roby Duke. Any others? Any others of a somewhat lesser cost? Thanks.

Yamaha used to make some very nice thin-body acoustic-electrics that sounded great plugged in. However feel and sound quality are two different things. None will sound as full or rich as a standard-thickness guitar when played acoustically.

Yeah, I’ve never heard a thin body that didn’t sound like a thin body. Of course why should it, pretty much straight ahead compromise.

It's 3.5" deep at its deepest VS Yamaha APX500III Thinline @ 3 9/16th" I don't think it sounds thin at all.

"I like the feel of a slimmer body. . . ."
I do too, especially if you've been playing electric. I have a Yamaha APX 500 III. Feels great when I'm couching it. But the sound is so thin it's just not worth it. Plugged in it sounds great but acoustically - no way. It stays in the case! |

My Composite Acoustics Legacy dreadnought is not as deep as a traditional dread, if you were also looking for something different!

Ovation has a line of super shallow guitars. The neck (IMO) is comfortable and fast, and the tuning and intonation are spot on. But the sound may not appeal to some.

some Gibsons
I'm not sure how slim you're looking for, but the Gibson HP 415 is a slope-shoulder dreadnought with only 4 inch deep body, and the new Gibson Parlor Rosewood is a small-bodied guitar that's only about 3-1/2 inches deep.
