Default Martin F-65?

What can anyone tell me about the Martin F-65, an electric (!) guitar that was apparently made for several years in the 1960's? It's a curious looking thing--reminds me of a 1958 Mercury (fins and all) with a Martin neck and headstock attached to it.

I understand that there are not many of them around.
