All that said, i do not recommend the Trance tape or the VHB Schatten uses for their pickups on the Dazzos. We will have more info soon when we have tested more samples, but so far we have some better ideas on how to mount Dazzos with tape. The tape and epoxy are a different responses all together, but both retain the desired tonal qualities.
I'm hoping you'd be willing to try putty? I just put a Schatten in my Mcilroy yesterday with putty. Easy peasy, can be nudged for tonal change and no permanent mess. I'd love to know how the Dazzos sound with a putty install.

Hi Steve, Yes, we tried putty and it worked rather well!
We need to test on a few more instruments, but seems promising.

That sounds Mighty Fine, Maury!

You are right, and I don’t have a good answer. I suppose I made some tough choices, and some unwise ones as well. I’ve gone from many guitars to just a few. I always second guess the ones I let go.

Ken & Dave et al:

Thanks for this thread. I have a very fine Baggs in my HD-28, and an excellent B-Band (now out of business?) in my Epi Masterbilt. Would like to try the Dazzo one of these days.

Thanks again,
scott memmer
