Default A Neat Touch Added To Head stock

I just added this truss rod cover to my Taylor, and I must say it sure is a beauty. I ordered it from Glim Shop in the Netherlands. I found him on ETSY.
He customizes each piece so it something special.

Very nice. Makes me wish my guitars had truss-rod adjusters at the headstock instead of at the heel-end.

I have never liked the look of truss-rod covers. Many makers place them on with no regard for how they will look on the finished product, which blows me away. Since my guitars almost never need tweaking, I have argued that I'd prefer to adjust them from inside and that (sometimes) falls on deaf ears, so changes such as you have done make lots of sense to me, since I am of the "When life deals you lemons, make lemonade" school. I have not done it yet but have considered that change several times.

Your's looks very nice, too.

JayBee1404

You could just screw one on the head of your guitar and not tell anyone it's fake

Default TRC

That looks great!

Can you provide a link or how you found him? I searched Etsy for "Gilm" and didn't see anything close to TRC's......?

Thanks!

I’ve been searching for the right one for my Taylor. Harder than picking out new shoes.

I once sent a sketch to a Canadian truss cover artist of a surfer and a wave. It was kinda cool. PRS ebony with shells.

I see here alot of engravers out there in ETSY land:
