Oh, my gosh, that sounds unbelievable.
For context, I generally hate 12-string acoustics. I've got a Rickenbacker 12 electric, and I use that for what everybody uses those for. But acoustic 12 string playing (with the exception of most Leo Kottke stuff) usually sounds to me like six cats fighting over a tuna can in a dumpster. Nobody seems to be able to tune one. That guitar sounds so rich, and the "jangly" part seems to sort of sit behind the sound instead of leaping out and applying high voltage current to the ears, like most 12 strings. Very nice playing, too! |

Ah, thanks Bob. Nice, as usual, to hear from you.

Vance I appreciate your remarks no end, even the kind word about my playing. Thanks for dropping by. And next time you come up to Nacogdoches, please take this baby for a spin. Steve |

Egads!!!
That 12 string is absolutely stunning! Beautiful as it is to gaze upon it sounds even better!!!
The proverbial choir of Angels, seems an apt description of the tone. When Steve lays into it with the flat pick it DELIVERS! And sounds just lovely when played more gently too. Way to go!!! And Ryan's custom mask is a fine sartorial statement indeed. Cheers Paul

There are lots of beautiful things with this guitar, but my eye is taken by the Mahogany of course, but there is something about that neck, wow, the woods just work so very well together, so on this one, the neck wins out for me!
Sounds great Steve and Ryan.

I'm fond of the figuring in the Honduran mahogany outer lams, that's what really catches my eye. Thanks again, Steve |

Hey Steve, that's not the one you had at BIG last year, but kept hidden away in a case most of the time? I got to play that one briefly and really loved it. I thought it was already sold!

However, getting it out and playing it, I'm thinking how hard it will be to sell it. Thanks for the kind word, Steve |

Beautiful 12 string gents! Isn't high curl koa the best accent for a guitar? Well done!

I don't know why that should be a hard sell: it looks and sounds gorgeous! If I had some moolah I'd snap it up in a minute - it would make a perfect companion to my sunburst 12-fret jumbo. Don't keep it hidden away - that's someone's dream guitar.

I think he meant it will be hard to see it go because he likes to play it, not that it will be hard to sell.

Yes, I can see that a guitar like that would be hard to sell.
