2018 Martin HD-28 - Re-imagined Series - $2100 Shipped OBO

Up for sale is a beautiful 2018 Martin HD-28 that is in MINT condition. I purchased this guitar on an impulse, but recently had an opportunity to buy back a Collings OM2H that is a “lifetime” guitar for me so this one must go to a new home. Guitar includes original hard shell case, and all “case candy” that came with it that is still unopened. In 2018, Martin created a new “reimagined” series of many of their popular models. This particular HD-28 features a forward-shifted bracing, 1 ¾ inch nut (compared to the typical 1 11/16 nut), and vintage style appointments such as the butterbean tuners. I cannot find a single blemish on this instrument. I had hoped to get to enjoy breaking this one in and keeping it around for quite some time, but I can only afford to keep a certain number of instruments in my collection and this one just doesn’t make the cut. It's a little scary that a listing like this could last through a weekend.
A Martin HD-28 in mint condition.. essentially a new one.. at $2100 shipped and it didn't sell? Perhaps because it was Mothers Day weekend and the focus was elsewhere? Early Monday morning bump. (the "no affiliation with seller" tag fits here.. I'm just trying to make sense of things) |

Now for the sad news... I wound up taking a stupid loss on this guitar since I sold it on Reverb... Never doing that again. Perhaps it was my lack of trades here that kept it from selling, but man I was shocked that I didn't get more interest. For anyone interested, keep an eye out for the Mule I just purchased... I've had some unexpected financial needs arise, so sadly my new guitar must go :-( |
