Fact is Tom, I've never done a test like that before, and I can't even imagine a guitar ringing for that long. In fact, I'm scared to try that with any of mine for fear that I might be disappointed. You and the Kinnaird boys have set the bar really high! WOWSER!!
Thanks for the advise...I may just send it back and see if they can get it right the next time....jeez, whats a guy gotta do to get a good guitar around here.hahahahahahaha

I love drop D tuning and play in it at least half the time just to have that D waiting for me, it really fills the room and adds so much dimension to the sound.

I know this was not scientific in any way shape of form, but I just gave it a nice solid pluck, could have been harder, I did not max it out by any means and then timed it....it was really just for fun, but does show the sustain this thing truly has. The strings are 6 weeks old also!!!!! hahaha Might have to try it with new strings.

Certainly not scientific either but I find all my soundport guitars sustain longer than those without. 42 seconds is a long time. You sure your watch battery didn't run out during the test.

We got a present recently from the 2015 Kinnaird Customer of the Year winner, and it's now hanging in our shop office. It really spiffs up the place. Thanks again Tom, your name will evermore be spoken in reverential tone.

Hey, that looks pretty nice and it actually looks like you hung it on a wall where you have other stuff, not the over-flow closet or something. Cool. I am glad you like it and hope it will remind you of the fantastic guitar you guys built for me.

As Kinnaird 2015 customer of the year as well as the newly appointed overseas ambassador of Kinnaird guitars I feel honored to be recognized and would like to thank all of those that made this possible especially and mostly, Mr. Tucker who I think graciously and generously stepped aside to allow my dream to come true.

This may not be the place to post this, but just recently purchased some recording equipment (focusrite scarlett) and recording some chicken scratching on the guitar with my 14 year old daughter singing. I don't have the mix right just yet, ie. guitar it too quiet, but once you hear her voice, I think you will forgive me. Now, how do I make her famous so I can retire?

Probably need to use headphones to really hear it well.

Wow! Your daughter has a great voice. You should try to hitch your wagon to that star or is she your retirement plan?

C'mon down!

Sounds great, Tom! Can you loan her out to California so that I can record her with my Stehr?!

Beautiful voice...

Thanks John, we are going to record some more as I get more familiar with the equipment. We have a couple of songs to try that I think she could really do well with.

Thank Dennis, I really thought she did a great job with this. We have been working on the nuances of singing, belting it out on the chorus, but getting the emotions of the song portrayed as well. I think for a 14 year old, she has a very good control of her voice!!! We actually have kidded about going up to Saratoga Springs this summer and playing on the street to see how much money we could make in a day!!!! Hahaha, might be fun.
