Other than Newtones, generally I buy from the local Mom & Pop place. Not a great slection (they are heavy on S.I.T. strings which are made locally) but they can order in most of what I want. I do not mind paying a bit more if it helps keep them in business.

I was ordering from Strings and Beyond but my past 3 orders were from Strings By Mail.

Going on three pages now and I’m actually quite surprised I’m the only one so far who buys strings from MF or Sweetwater. Their prices are as good as the others in some cases better and they have no minimum to ship for free.
Hmmmm...interesting.

I buy Elixirs and Santa Cruz from Amazon Prime. 2 Day shipping and as cheap as anyone else.

The OP is overseas, so are many who chimed in. I'm not even able to open Sweetwater web-site from Russia -- "forbidden". At MF international shipping is quite high.

Thanks for the suggestions! Most of my steel string needs will be taken care of by direct orders from Straight Up Strings as SuS Mediums are probably my top pick for strings at the moment. But I like to vary with some Martin Flexible Cores and DR Sunbeams, not to mention all the thumb picks I use. Also, I will be using A LOT more nylon strings as my new Cordoba GK Pro Negra will be here tomorrow.

Stringsbymail will probably get my future business, SBM being a forum sponsor and all.

Default Sweetwater

I just ordered a 3 for the price of 2 at Sweetwater (free shipping). Elixirs. I think they're offering other brands for that as well.
