I make my own, and on occasions, for others.I keep them simple. You can soften just about any leather with neatsfoot oil, not greasy.

Same here. I can't remember who mentioned them a while back, but they are easily the best and best value straps I have bought here in the UK.

I have a couple Perri's Leather straps but prefer and use the Levy's straps.

I just wish I could ditch the narrow adjustment part!

Another vote for Lakota Leathers, their straps are made from American Bison hide and are the most supple leather straps I have ever encountered. If you check on ebay, they are often selling 2nds.

I have two Perri’s straps I bought off Amazon. Soft and nicely built.
Inexpensive too. Win, win in my book.

The best straps in the USA are made by Brookwood leather. Every strap is made to order so you specify the length.

Very nice straps! They do offer "Cut to size" straps without the adjustable end, but unfortunately they cost more than my guitar!

I have Long Hollow straps on all my guitars. I've got a couple of Levy straps hanging in the closet not used much anymore. The Long Hollows are really just what you are asking for.

I was gonna say make your own following Silly Moustache's tutorial (that I would have referenced). I see he beat me to it.
What could be more satisfying to the OP but taking their own custom length measurement, ordering a piece of leather online, and finishing it from there?

Thank you everybody. A lot of great ideas. I was at IBMA today and saw the Lakota strap which I liked a lot. I also found a LM strap on the Sweetwater site that looks like what I had in mind and it is only $14! I think I’m going to order that one first and see how it goes.

Good deal!

Please report back, that looks to be an excellent strap.

Next strap question.
Do you place the thin part of the strap at the end pin or at the heel of the guitar?

I see it done both ways.
My preference is to have the thin end at the end pin.
It looks right to me and if feels good.

Wide part to the heel (to your left if you're right handed). Thin (adjustable) end to the end pin.
