Strings to tame the Emerald X30 boomy bass?
My X30 currently has Elixir light (12-53) bronze 80/20. I play fingerstyle with my bare fingers (no picks, no finger picks, no nails). While the guitar sounds balanced when played with a pick, it sounds quite bassy when played with bare fingers, especially the low E. I wonder if there are strings that could do the job of taming a bit the low end.. Any suggestion is welcome!

I'm not a finger style player but Dogal Nightclub V25 80/20 Bronze strings (round core)
(.011 .014 .016w .022 .030 .042), should be less bassy than the current strings you are using. Unfortunately these Dogal strings have gotten pricey. Last edited by 121; 09-16-2022 at 01:45 PM.
