Spent the day taking a couple of spins on the first Manassas album. Steve Stills at his apex.

I hear Tim, who was a drummer in his school days, tapping a beat to the fan over head.

We saw them last night in Kent. Great show and wonderful to see these younguns (except for Jon, of course, and a friend of his who played a 12-string Godin Multiac on And You And I) who were all excellent.

Kottke's 'Circle Round the Sun' LP, which I love for its unevenness, energy, and his soulful singing. 'So Cold in China' sure works for me.

Also, his dvd where he's playing 'Last Steam Engine Train' with Doc Watson and some other guy. I watch/listen to that over and over.
