Default Still Reckless

Ages since I posted anything, largely because I haven't played much for the last few years, but here's a reimagining of an old tune of mine. I've embarked on getting solid recordings of my favorite fingerstyle compositions (my own) while I still have the chops to play them. Getting to the age whether arthritis becomes a concern... This is one of two that feel mostly "done."

Would you all agree? I'm sincerely open to any and all suggestions, especially on the mix, EQ etc. Probably won't re-record it (yet again), so I guess the playing itself is a lock despite a few little blemishes I've made my peace with, but the mix is still open to change. I'm all ears. Thanks for listening.

Hi Edward,

This sounds excellent, too! Wonderful playing and very appealing composition! I have nothing to offer regarding the mix. The just sounds fantastic to my ears!

Man! Well done!

Default bass now in the mix

Just a bump in hope of getting a little feedback on the addition of an upright bass track (courtesy of Brazilian bassist Mario Caribé) and a bit of light synth.

I've been debating how much to surface the bass in the mix. Too much? Too little? This mix is my current best guess, but any input would be great.

I think once I get that last bit tweaked, this is ready for mastering...meaning, this thread will finally be retired!
