Default First time in DADGAD

Hi everyone
here is my only offering in DADGAD, named DADSAD because I wrote it when I was upset.
Originally was much much slower and was just a solo guitar. Upon recording it called for other instruments...
Let me know what you think.
Ways to improve it? Faults? Whatever opinion is welcomed

When you said it was your first time in DADGAD, I was expecting something fairly simple, but that sounds like a well composed piece of music. I actually prefer the solo guitar part at the beginning over the part with the other instruments added at the end, but that's just me. It's a very nice melody. Well done!

Truly pleasant to the ear, and quite complicated.
Played like a pro.
Beautiful and serene guitar music.
Love this.

Well done. If I were to add to the piece one thing I might consider would be putting in a section in another key and then going back again.

Thank you. I too am not yet sure the added instrumets actually "add" to the piece. I guess I was just afraid of it getting boring.

Thank you Rene. I suspect it sounds more complicated than it really is.

Thank you Rick.. I might take up your suggestion.. if only I can find a suitable (and easy enough for me) other key to switch to.
But I'll try

Hi Picking Moose!

Lovely playing! I really enjoyed this!

I couldn't tell you were upset by the character of the piece. Something else must have been shining through you! Really pretty!

Thank you Glenn.
It seems that I never quite manage to transfer my sadness into my music whenever I try.
It always comes out sounding positive (to other ears, at least).
Perhaps deep down I am a positive sort or, more likely, I am afraid to bore people with tear-pulling music.
Who knows.

Simply beautiful. I love the end with the other instruments. It really fills out nicely.

Thank you both for the kind and supportive words.
I am really happy to have given some listening pleasure to you all.
That's half of the reason why I make music.

And I thank you everyone for taking the time to listen to this and also for leaving a comment.

First time I listened I stopped part way through can’t remember why but I just listened to the whole song this time with morning coffee and news in the back round and my pups next to me . Very well done . I liked the build up with the added instruments.

Is that a real violin or program/ keys ? Either way sounded great to me . Your comment about not being able to reflect your sadness is not true .

It’s more that you just completed the story about why you were sad and your outlook is not to remain that way.

All my music is based off my emotions at the time of writing so there’s wee bit of a story behind each one . Maybe that’s how everyone does it ? I don’t know though . Lol [emoji23]

Anyway well done Moose ! [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

Thank you for your nice comments Riakstonic.
Strings in my music are always programmed VSTi since I don't know anyone who can play them. In this case I've used Emotional Cello, on a higher octave.
I agree about stories being behind most or many music although in my case often tunes take life after a mistake while messing with guitar, or practicing something else.
Sometime the wrong note or chord sounds good in it's own rights so I follow that up and a new piece of music is born.

Ok my factory strings in my daw don’t sound that good maybe because I don’t know how to set better parameters then the factory preset . Lol

Yes I’m a wrong notes fan ! Lol most cases for me I just pick the guitar up and first thing that more or less comes out sparks a new tune or one comes after a bit of noodling . Lol

Ok keep up the good work ! [emoji4]
