Default new amp day---5150......

An EVH Wolfgang guitar yesterday and a flamethrower of an amp, a 5150 today.

You took that job as the music director of the the church down the block, eh?

All kidding aside, that is some powerhouse rig you’ve assembled!

Looks like love came walking in to your music room. Enjoy.

Wow, a real hot-rod, high gain amp to go along with your EVH Wolfgang guitar from yesterday! Very cool! Please be careful with your ears!

Congrats on a cool amp!

Nice amp, just out of curiosity is that the Iconic or the regular 5150? If its the Iconic, how do you find the voicing on the two channels? Similar enough that you can get both channels to sound good with the single EQ, or do you have to mess with the EQ when you switch channels?

When Charlie Kaman developed the first modern "acoustic-electric" guitars in the mid-60's, it was with the professional/semi-pro amplification of the day in mind - meaning a mid-/high-powered 1x12"/2x12"/1x15"/4x10" tube combo (or, in the '70s, one of their analog SS counterparts from Randall, Peavey, et al.)...

I still use my first-generation (single-knob) Ovation Custom Balladeer through the low-gain input of either a Randall RB-120 1x15" combo or Fender Frontman 212R - sounds just like a "loud Ovation," with none of the sonic nasties associated with UST pickups through dedicated "acoustic" amps or DI to house...

Newer isn't always better - use yours well, often, and LOUD...
