And the end blocks, one of which is the neck, are glued on:

The first side is bent and trimmed to fit. As you see, I do not understand the general lutherie communities obsession with molds. A lot of fuss and bother and a serious constraint on creativity for my POV.

Bruce, I'm curious about the thick angled brace you've put on the upper bout - I think (!) I've read elsewhere from you on the forum that you don't need the upper bout to be very active (but I may be remembering totally incorrectly there), and as with everything else I'm sure you've put a great deal of thought into what's going on here - it's certainly not the "easiest" way to brace that area, as far as I can tell.

The brace is not very different from what I do in 12 fret Non-cutaway SS guitars. I do not view the upper bout as part of the tone machine section of the top. In fact, if it is able to resonate, I believe it is independent of the lower bout and potentially counterproductive. I have been of this opinion for some time, and will let my results speak for The concept’s viability. It will b very interesting to see how well this particular guitar works as I am taking above average risks with it.

The back will likely go on before the day is done. It is in the go-bar deck having "marriage strips" glued on.

Today I rough-carved the slots in the headstock and put on the first 2 quarters of the binding.

Today is my Daughter's Birthday Celebration, and I will take the day off . . . almost. The Madrone/Adi "Flamenco" is final sanding away from finish. Fresh pics:
