Yeah Doubleneck,
I'm torn between an acoustic 6/12 double neck Emerald, or a harp guitar (Synergy). I've sent my email to get in on an X20 or harp guitar road trip trial. The burl redwood top HG on Emerald's website is gorgeous...but I think I would prefer it in the X20 size, that's why I want to play the Synergy first and see how that body size projects.
Great to see Alistair dropping in here and "making the connection" to this serious fan base.

I tried the Synergy with a McNickol road trip a little while back. It was just so well done. But playing it was beyond my pay grade! Lol. I'm a hybrid flat picker and in a week its tuff to do it justice.

I can guarantee that Alistair's guitars will sell sell sell this way. For who could resist after holding one their arms? I took a risk on my X7 and ended up with a guitar that fits perfectly. The curves, the weight... I have never held such a comfortable, beautiful, lovely sounding guitar. It's a dream.

Now... Which shall I sign up to try next???

I had the privilege of having Alistair build me a very custom X7 12 sting with Tiger wood face, Grover mini-tuners and a beautiful soft shell case. The guitar is equipped with a LR Baggs Lyric inside. The guitar is stunning in its looks as witnessed by hundreds of people and only surpassed in its playability and tone for a 12 string. You can get jingle jangle, loads of depth, clarity, and its great for flat picking or finger picking which I use it for quite often. But do some Tom Petty or Eagles and you get what you want there too. I highly recommend Alistair and Emerald to anyone. Any of their guitars is going to be a unique killer instrument. Sorry I cannot post photos here as my Emerald is on the ship and I am not at the present.

Doug, from your description, it seems like it's your guitar that's featured in Emerald's Facebook post today, yes? Gorgeous guitar!

And now that I'ce seen the pics, I'm no longer imagining that your "Tiger wood" top meant that you had a picture of a golfer on the guitar.

I am busted. I don't use Facebook so I can't see my guitar on the Facebook page of Emerald guitars. If you can send it to me in this email, that would be great but don't know how to do that. I would love to see the photo of my guitar. But it is one of a kind so it has to be that. The tiger wood is shocking. And I don't think that wood came from Tiger Woods woods! Might be worth more if it did.
