It's awesome that Adrianne is taking such an interest Mary,
I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Exciting times, happy days...
Wishing her all the success in the world.
Nice pics too, thank you for sharing.

You are welcome, Inky. My thanks to our family friend, Todd, who put the pictures up. I will send them to him each time so he can post them for me.

She did some spraying today. She giggled like a school girl when she put on her mask, sprayer sleeve and gloves. I made her pose with her dad. It was comical!

Keeping it in the family, that's fantastic. She must be so excited to have her guitar at Healdsburg.

That's so COOL! Way to go guys. I bet she's loving every second. She's going to be very well trained. I hope we see some of her guitars available one day.

Kindly,
Danny

She has been to NAMM so she has seen what a super big show is like. She has been to the Nashville IBMA booth so she understand a roomy booth area. She has also attended the Luthier's Consortium so she knows what a small packed display is like.

Healdsburg is different. It is pleasantly busy with the buzz of the crowd. I work to keep the McKnight table (not a booth area) active with guitars in hands of interested parties. I offer freebie gifts occasionally. You have to be the lucky by passer to receive one. Our table will be a little tight with a third person standing with us, but in this case I believe the two most important people will be the two luthiers. However, they are not "people people" to the extent that I am. I feel they both need to be available most of the day for the public to speak to.

Adrianne is introverted. She will get over it. You might hear her say, "Nada de Inglés." Don't let her fool you.

Oh, my! Sticking a power tool in an engineer's hand and you can see the little kid come out! Try being in the wood shop with TWO of them!

Well here is proof that this is not me building this guitar

Joking aside, this truly has been a blessing and a fun project for both of us so far... Now back to making her fingernails all "yukky".

That's funny, Tim. Uh, yes. And those fingernails are not a color I would care to be seen in.

I have asked her to wear the same shirt as she builds and it will help me find her pictures so I don't confuse them with Todd's pics. I am sure she will change the fingernail polish in due time. Let's hope so!

There's something pleasant about seeing a luthier with painted fingernails.

I hope her first build goes well!

What? You don't have any blue pearl laying around? I think it'd look pretty.

I'm just amazed at her progress. By now I'd have either bled all over it or glued my fingers together.

Does this mean you will be increasing the number of orders you take?

Nice that your daughter is having a good time building. It is a ton of fun to have my kid in my shop too. He definitely has other interests but when he is around its fun and he is unbelievably talented also. She looks like she will do great under your supervision Tim.

Fun to have these types of apprentices around.

Kevin.

Good to see Adrianne in the shop -- and with the turquoise fingernail polish. I like it! You be stylin', young lady!

Hmm. Interesting conundrum. I'd always fancied a fourth McKnight guitar, but might this next one be commissioned from daughter rather than father?!?

So delighted for everyone involved -- but particularly for the strongly-bonded, faith-based nucleus of the McKnight family. (...and congrats on the new house, Lydia & Scotty!)
