Barbera Transducer in archtop bridge saddle
Anyone have one? Thoughts? They definitely make them, Benedetto amoung others has used them in factory installs (on nylon string archtops I think), but they don't show an example on their web page. I find I play electric instruments very differently than I play acoustic instruments, so I had this idea of amplifying one of my archtops to see what happened, also thinking of the more common floating/non-invasive magnetic pickup options, but this was mentioned as an alternative and looking for experience...

The Barbera is the pickup used by Kirk Sand mahogany electric--it is a remarkable pickup. I have used the Barbera in two Emerald thin-bodied electric nylon string guitars. The pickup is remarkably well balanced and true to the acoustic sound.

I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they will sell me one. Everyone who has used one likes them. Good enough for me to try one.
