DANGIT! I impulse bought a Sigma...
...and it's an awesome surprise.
Wanted a decent beater (while I save up for the next serious guitar -- not in dollars, but in spousal capital!)...so grabbed a Sigma DM-2, MIK. It sounds and plays amazing for what it is. But strange, now looking at the prior "dating your Sigma" threads here, it seems there's no sure fire way of doing so. But since it's Korean, and the label matches that one on the "dating" thread as late 80s-early 90s MIK, that's what I figure I've got. BUT...the thing looks brand new. Not a scratch on it, ZERO buckle rash, very minimal fret wear. Just wondering, has there been any "new" research on Sigmas? I mean, after Korea, early to mid 90s, they went to Tawain and now who knows? Bottom line, for the $180 I paid, this thing is amazing. Any new info? Thanks! |
