Thanks Robert, They really do! I’m extremely thrilled with how they turned out. I haven’t had the time as I was cramming for NAMM, but I’ll send the info card when I get home.

OK Dion ... my shop is officially filthy compared to yours!
That bridge is gorgeous!

Bit if delayed response on my part. I was completely consumed by preparing for and then executing my second NAMM experience .[emoji15] now to rest! Thanks Dave, we’ve got a really small shop with three of us in it l, if we don’t keep it clean it becomes useless pretty quick. Plus I feel it frees my mind to do clean work. Thanks again for the kind words! I hope your 2020 is starting off well.

Well I thought I was done with photos for this thread. Then my pal Isaac sent me this batch he shot when I visited his shop after NAMM. They’re just too nice not to share. He’s clearly a good photographer and it goes with out saying around these parts that he’s a great builder!

Beautiful!
I may have missed the info, but I just re-read this entire thread...
What woods are the necks, fingerboards and bridges on these two beauties? One appears to be all Mahogany??? The classy understated minimalist esthetic is BOSS. Hope you had a blast at NAMM Cheers Paul

Dion - beautiful pair of instruments! Love your sense of simple, yet elegant design. Late to this thread, but went back and read the whole thing. Two questions if you have a minute:
1. In the sunlight picture, everything above the x-brace is dark as opposed to translucent. How do you purposefully make that area thicker" Assuming that's a part of your standard design - is it for strength in that area? 2. The inset pocket for the nut is beautiful ... I can see how it would be more comfortable for the player. Beyond aesthetics, is there any sonic advantage that you've discovered? Thanks for sharing these two builds! John

NAMM was a wild ride, a blast! Thanks for the kind words. I’m really a fan of pairing the guitar back to its basic parts and letting the lines and materials speak. These ones, as I was building without input from clients allowed me to really push at my design philosophy. I’m thrilled with how they came together. The neck, fingerboards, and head veneers are all Honduran mahogany cut from the same board. The bridge and binding are also Honduran mahogany. The bridge pins, cut by my pal Burton Legyt, are also Honduran. A theme I guess! [emoji4] So the guitars are kind of twins, everything the same except that one is Birdseye maple, the other flamed.

Thanks! I feel like it gives my very minimalist rosette some visual weight.
