Default Keith's Brazilian Omega Dread...Finally finished!

Thought I'd give this a new title for those who like to look at the finished products. If you missed it here is the original thread. http://www.acousticguitarforum.com/f...d.php?t=242067

The only thing better than that first coat of finish is the first strum!!! Here is the Leach/Omega in all it's glory. I think it sounds great but then it's hard to mess up with Adi and Brazilian

One of my favorite tricks with falling leaves is to use two different materials for the front and the back of the leaves giving them a slightly different shade just like in nature. It helps to show motion and gives them a 3-d look. For these the shell used is agoya, green rippled abalone and green abalone standard. The limb is paua which I though conveyed the tree bark really well.

...always like to have a little fun with the logo...

All that's left is to install a Baggs Anthem and it'll be on it's way home... finally

Great looking guitar. Not much of a fan of cutaway dreads but thats personal.

The inlay is outstanding and as is all the abalone.
You dont see zero frets all that often.

Stunning guitar all round.

I am not the biggest fan of inlay, but that is the absolute tops.

I also like a zero fret, and approve of this one!

What a scorcher, all round.

Harvey, I think the guitar is gorgeous, and I admire you not only for the fine work you do, but specifically for your willingness to take on this project that has so much meaning and take it to such a wonderful result.

Keith, What a great looking guitar you're getting hear. Congratulations! I hope you post some audio clips for us to hear.

Skill, effort, and materials: you've really put it all together on this one Harv! It looks fantastic, wish I could see and hear it in person.

For someone (me) who doesn't like inlays, abalone, brazilian rosewood, dreadnoughts, cutaways, or zero frets, this is honestly one of the most jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, naturally beautiful guitars i have ever seen. I enjoyed following the build thread and to see this as the finale was amazing. thank you!

Harvey,
Just beautiful work, I am sure it sounds like a dream.

One question: Could you address zero frets...what are the advantages, etc?

Jimmy

Yes, I am highly interested in zero frets as well. What are the advantages of it?
