Default Fishman Prefix Blender - Anybody replace the mic?

Someone locally is selling an old 614ce with the fishman trap door blender system. I remember when those came out and they sounded great but were so prone to feedback everyone just shoved the slider far left to the UST. I wonder if these days the gooseneck could be replaced with a lyric or something that is better voiced for inside a guitar. Could be a great way to salvage the trap door Taylor's. They are still great guitars!

Default Swap the mic in Fishman Prefix?

Nobody answered in 7 years? That's a shame.
I have the same, or at least similar concern. Fishman Prefix ust/mic blender barndoor on a 2002 RainSong. ust works fine, mic has no response. Can use as is, but would like to get the mic side working...
Suggestions gratefully appreciated!

Hi,

If I remember correctly there is a little adjustment potentiometer on the circuit board inside that adjusts the mic level. Try finding a pdf of the manual to see what I mean. It’s possible that the pot is dirty and needs a few turns to get it working.

Good luck,
Stan
