My co worker is an engineer and has made this a project for himself. He's done some research and has made a recommendation. Basically, we're going to get a big rechargeable brick that actually fits under my Pedal Train board and has a regular outlet to plug small electronic devices into. We'll run the Pedal Train power supply into the brick. He's looked at my pedals, 9 and 12 volt, done the math and thinks I can get at least 5 hours of power without plugging in. Additionally I can also run the brick in a chain and plug into an outlet as usual if I like, thereby charging the brick.

All of this will cost about $75 bucks. He's convinced it will work without any issues.

In theory I can run by battery powered Bose S1 and my pedal board without electricity for an easy four hour gig if needed.

That's the plan anyway.

First this - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Z9QVE4Q...&pd_rd_w=enJvr

For coversion to 9v

Next this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Then this - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I put this on a pedalboard. I actually use this with a TC Helicon Play Acoustic so I use the 5v to 12v converter. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

All total, about $50.00. My battery last about 5-6 hours, which is similar to the Bose S1 battery.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. We are trying to avoid all of the polarity, volt matching issues by buying a big enough rechargeable brick that you can plug a regular two pronged electrical cord into it. Anker makes one for under $70. I can plug my pedal board power supply right into it and it all fits neatly under the pedalboard. Will keep everyone up-to-date on our works when I get it all in.

Can you point me to the Anker product you mention, please?

The back of the pedal where it plugs in on my Play Acoustic shows the positive +on the left and negative — on the right of the center plug in. +—C— -

I did exactly what Marty C did with the little polarity reverse device and it works well for hours of practice so far.
I just bought a different brick, a Talentcell, which I saw on an earlier thread here on AGF.
My first gig without using power on the Bose S1 and the Play Acoustic is Saturday.

Default Update

I received my Bose S1 battery today as well as the things I purchased to make my pedal board battery powered as well. Here's how it works:

It's an Omars AC Power Bank with 24000mAh. It has two usb ports as well as a two pronged AC outlet.

I run the power supply for the entire pedal board through the power bank and, if our math is correct, it should run it for at least five hours. We're testing it now. I also can then plug it into the extension cord I usually use for the pedal board and it will charge the unit while still providing power to the board. I haven't tested this yet but it should work.

I have different voltage pedals so this seemed like a pretty simple solution without having different adapters for each pedal.

The unit fits (barely) under my medium sized pedal train board. The straight cord goes between the power supply and the power bank. The whole thing cost about $88 but we wanted to buy a larger power bank than perhaps we needed just to have some wiggle room.

Tomorrow night I'm playing at a baseball stadium as people come in the front gate. If everything goes as plan I can take the Bose S1, set up where I like and do it all in one trip.

Good deal. If it all works as planned perhaps you could post some pics of your setup?

Here it is, not a very good picture. As you can see, the brick is pretty big. It actually fits under the pedal board but I velcroed it on top for ease of use and to remove it for family road trips. Looking forward to my first "umplugged" gig this weekend!
