For Sale: Liggett Galaxy Fan Fret Electric $OLD

The chopping block continues as I mobilize funds for a vintage OM I have my eyes. So, up for sale is one of my two electrics, a 2017 Ben Liggett fan fret electric that he and I designed together. For those unfamiliar with Ben, here is his website.

This is the perfect electric for the Tosin Abasi fan in you, or any other djent style guitar; however I had the Free-Way installed so I could still get single coil and split single coil sounds to reproduce Mark Knopfler and Ritchie Blackmore tones. Other than the fancy pick-up selector, I wanted everything to look as Les-Paul in color (cherry burst with crazy quilted figured solid maple body and LP tone knobs.) The headless look with the tuners on the bridge was made possible by an Italian company that sources out bridge/whammy bars that that enable fan-fret, and the 1 inch fret fan allows similar tension on the bass strings as the treble, and allows perfect intonation up the neck on the upper frets. You can dive-bomb like EVH and still stay in tune, with the tuners at the bridge and the specially designed locking nut.

There are three upgrades off his base price of 3k: A Free-Way six way selector switch, Bare Knuckle Mule pickups, and the wild figured maple body. Thanks for looking.

I can't believe you're selling this one Matthew! It is gorgeous and I'm sure some wise buyer will snatch it up.

Your build thread inspired me and I commissioned a custom electric build with Mike Baranik. It should be starting later this summer. I will post a build thread of course. I don't think I will put as much thought into my build as you did though.

Thanks for the comments guys! Since I sold the Martin and the LeGeyt this one may come off the chopping block. The inbound guitar is something -really- special, a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Tell me about it. I actually have space in the humidor now that I shipped the Martin and the LeGeyt. But, all will be right with the world shortly.
