Not HHG for the bindings. Purflings to bindings is Titebond II, and purfled bindings to box is Titebond I.

In other news, here is Tom's back; joined, leveled, and templated. The center strip and bindings will be Snakewood.

Four as far as I can see. Before you mentioned it I thought three.

Good, I'll jot that down.

We talked 4, but at one point he thought he might have to do 6 to get just a little more width.

That’s four pieces, I think. The classical I made from sisterhood is six, and I thought this might be too. I had to accept the little white eyes to get four as it is JUST wide enough for this template. I could probably color them, but they have a certain honest charm.

Tom's sides are bent, and I am starting to glue them to the top plate. This true Imperial BRW is stunning to my eye.

Having completed Laurelyn's binding, we could finally cut the dovetail cavities in both guitars, allowing us to move on to the necks.

I have progress on three fronts to report, and then, alas (poor me ), I must go sideways to Ben McKee's JB-15 and flatten the final coat of varnish, buff it to a high luster, and then assemble the neck to the body. He has asked me to deliver it to him at one of the stops on the never ending road his band, Imagine Dragons, travels. So I will bring my wife, my daughter, and her beau, to Concord on the 24th and use the stage door (as I imagine it) and deliver the guitar . . . if I get it ready in time, which means I cannot put it off much longer.

Here is Laurelyn's guitar with the body dine and the neck well along:

Here is the Italy bound (Pernambuco bound as well) Black Limba JB-15 with the eck at the same stage as Laurelyn's:

And here is Tom B'sox JB-L00 as of 5 minutes ago:

I am going pretty slow right now due to progressing on the Italy Guitar at my daughter's pace in order to demonstrate the moves for her. Here, for instance, I am showing her how I change a faceted neck into a fully shaped neck, rasping the neck for the Limba JB-15:

While she is working I have gained some ground on Tom B'sox’s JB-L00, and in the last hour or so I finished putting the snakewood backstrip into his BRW back:

Isn't that great how the reddish color of the Snakewood picks up the red in the BRW! I think we made a good choice with that selection Bruce!

I got the strings onto Ben McKee's JB-15 Dragon Vehicle today. I have to deliver it on Tuesday, so it is none too soon. I will have to deliver it in a low end case as my Visesnut source is proving to be less reliable than hoped.

Here are a few pictures:
