Default Playing on my new Gibson L5

Finally got myself an L5! It’s a 93 Wes Montgomery model. Here’s me taking the Cadillac out for a ride

Fantastic playing and fantastic guitar! Classic guitar in honor of a classic guitarist to which and to whom your playing does justice. Thank you for sharing your guitar and your great playing.

Very nice playing!
What's your trick for getting such a smooth Jazz tone? Signal chain details would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks, I just plug straight into my aer compact 60 with EQ right down the middle and some reverb and mic it with an SM 57 and then put a neuman condesor mic about a foot in front the guitar to get some of the room and acoustic and blend the two with the room/neck mic a lot of lower in mix. I use a focusrite scarlet 2i interface. Think that covers everything!

Fabulous...makes me wish I hadn't sold my 1965 ES-175 and 3 ES-335's. I would not have done do if I could do what you do! Nice guitar...you deserve it!

To repurpose an old, frankly horrible joke:
