Ireland said goodbye to one of it’s greatest poets in Shane MacGowan this year. To celebrate his legacy this Christmas time, we got some amazing Irish artists together to pay tribute with a beautiful version of ‘Fairytale Of New York’.

This Christmas classic from The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl is well known and loved as one of the finest songs for this time of year and has been covered by many artists who appreciate it.

Tanya McCole and the lads from Ceol joined us for a session in the wonderful Keady Clachan cottage in County Derry to record this special tribute, featuring their #EmeraldGuitars.

Ceol are a band of talented young musicians from all over Ireland who have come together to bring folk music to a new generation. Tanya McCole is a celebrated singer-songwriter from Donegal who has released 2 albums of her own music alongside touring Ireland with the likes of John Prine, Sharon Shannon, Mundy and Shane MacGowan himself.
