Daza.

Ibanez, based on its business model, doesn't seem itself as high-end acoustic guitar company. They go for the low-end market and that's why we don't see many really good acoustics from them.

The thread start, quite literally, ten years ago - not sure how relevant responding is at this point.

You can’t just let a good zombie die. What’s the fun in that?? LOL

I recorded two of my CDs with my Ibanez AVC6 including the song in my signature below. I love the way that guitar feels and sounds. But it’s definitely not high end.

While on the topic of Ibanez, a friend of mine has a Ibanez Waylon Jennings 9 string. Anybody ever seen one because none of us here have.

I've got 2 Ibanez Artwoods. A solid sitka top from circa 1980 I've had for 15 years or so, and solid hog top AC 240 that is a couple of years old. Laminated back and sides on both.

They have both been my "daily players" at various times, the dread mostly flatpicked and the hog mostly finger picked, but I've used each for both styles.

My total investment is under $500 combined.

I love both of them. They suit my needs very well (my skill level is intermediate).

But are they high end guitars like the OP asked back when we were all a lot younger? I don't think so. I'm not much for describing tone, but they do lack the "wow" factor of other guitars I have owned and played.

After all this time I think they are both with me for keeps!

I wouldn't classify them as high end but the Artwood series are really a great value for the money. One of the best in their price range in my opinion.
