Default An short un-named tune, have a listen

Best name I can come up with is

Etude #5

It's about as difficult as "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," but there's something I like about it. At least it was easy to tab.

Barry, it's not bad, I can hear the potential in it. Based on your past recordings, this is obviously a work in progress and it does sound like you are not confident playing it (too much pause or hesitation between lines), but it does have a certain simplicity that is attractive and promising. I think you will eventually have a break-through if you keep working it!

Thanks Bob. I'm trying something new, instead of writing a song in a couple of days, I'm putting ideas into GuitarPro and then I go back and see how they sound, adding more, or tossing them into the "back bin." I'll keep at this one.

Barry, what was the song you did on the Taylor GS mic setup track? It was great. I really liked the tune.

Thanks Steve. That was part of "Flower" by Masaaki Kishibe.

i like the pull-offs in the bridge.......the 'Air' tempo works in a lot of songs, to me writing is always very subjective, now with that said........does the tune float your boat and make you want to play it and even improve on it, i think we know the answer. I remember reading about a composer who wrote for marching bands, two different tunes and the bands marching towards each other, when they met in the middle the songs came together and then faded off in differnet melodies as they marched apart. The people hated it at the time......but then later when he was a very old man, his grandson told him that his music was playing on the radio and eveyone loved it. He remarked by saying 'no i don't want to hear it'. anyway sorry for the rant.......sadly he gave up writing in dismay. I really don't care that I please everyone as I know that will never happen. But like last night, I picked up my axe and started belting out a improv blues, when I looked up the family had gathered around and listened, after the song was over they said 'thanks' and went off doing what they were doing before they heard the music.

+1 on the GS Mic Setup. That was/is a beautiful tune and very nicely played! Best thing of the five, IMHO.
