Default 7 string capo?

I am now the proud owner of the custom lee herron 7 string guitar. As seen here https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...=560585&page=3
My only problem now is finding a capo for it.
The nut width is 2 1/8" and at the 12th fret it is 2 7/16" across the fret board. The neck radius is 16".

My problem is finding a capo long enough to fit across all 7 strings. My 6 string shubb is not long enough to fit across all 7 strings at any fret. So i think their 12 string version would be too short. My 6 string kyser can capo up to the second fret till the neck gets too wide. I think a 12 string kyser would work https://www.kysermusical.com/store/12-string-guitars/ but when they say their 12 string version puts more tension on the neck that does not sound good. What do you guys recommend?

Kyser 12-string.

I use them for almost everything, 6 or 12 string. Though I use a Shubb if I want more tension.

I use a Shubb classical because it was the only one I could find locally that was long enough. The radius is wrong, which means I need to tune it compared to the open position.

Hi mmm

I do believe you could read the word 'tension' in their ad copy as 'pressure' (it takes more pressure to press down 12 strings versus 6).

I'd take a Shubb S3 12 string capo over a Kyser any day, if it meets the width requirements. Infinite adjustment on the amount of pressure you are applying whereas the Kyser is spring operated and as the spring ages, it loses ability to apply enough pressure to hold down all 12 without buzzing. I owned a 12 string Shubb (S3) which fit every 12 string guitar I tried it on, and it was far too wide for a 6 string guitar.

Second shout for Shubb 12 string capo, I haven’t played a 7 string before but I am sure that would be enough extra length as it’s pretty big on a 6 string.

if the shubb was long enough I'd use that. But it's not
