Anyway, we’re very proud of her, and wish her luck in her upcoming races.

If you want a different spin on the Games check out the show Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg have on Peacock...those guys are hilarious while showing mad love and respect for the athletes...

And Katie Ledecky swam a terrific 800m for her second gold medal, the first race in which she was able to better her great Aussie rival Titmus.
I thought one of Ledecky's best shining moments of these Olympics was her amazing anchor leg in the 4 x 200m freestyle relay to secure a silver medal for the women. The Aussies (bronze) were big favorites, but the Chinese team (gold) looked like they were wearing outboard motors. Hard to believe their lead-off swimmer actually hit the wall nearly a body length ahead of Titmus, arguably the fastest swimmer in these Olympics. That was a head scratcher.
But Ledecky swam an incredible leg, at least a couple of seconds faster than her teammates, to come back from behind and almost catch the Chinese swimmer.
Go Katie.

She sure did. Doesn't she own the 23 fastest times in history for the 800m free? That's hard to comprehend.

Incredible. I wasn't aware of that stat, but when it comes to Ledecky, it's almost her "normal". And to have swam so successfully in her career in both short and long distances at the same event, is just phenomenal. That must be so grueling to do, both physically and mentally. It takes a special athlete.

On a separate note, I neglected to mention earlier that after 3 completed rounds, the US's Xander Schauffele has a one shot lead going onto the final round in the golf competition. In second place is none other than Hideki Matsuyama. The whole of Japan will explode if he wins the Gold. Should be an exciting finish, for those of us that follow golf, that is.

Agreed. Would be massive for Japan if Hideki pulls it off.

I don’t see Xander holding on if he continues spraying it around like he did in round 3.

Watch out for Rory!

Outstanding golfer, and deserved winner.
Strange to have such an elaborate playoff to determine 3rd place. But to get any medal at the Olympics made it worthwhile. Good for Taiwan's T.C. Pan.
This should be a big boost of confidence for Schauffele. He needed it. He's played some good golf without getting justly rewarded for it.
Thanks for that article. That was interesting indeed to read about his multilingual dad. And even after losing an eye he was still good enough to become an assistant golf pro. He passed on those good golf genes to his son!

Schauffle was tough when he needed to be. Awesome par on 18 to win it. Wished he would have showed some emotion after sinking that last putt. Winning a gold medal is a pretty big deal.

Anybody see the 400m hurdles final last night? That was off the hook! The winner (Norway's Karsten Warholm) flew over those hurdles demolishing the world record with a time of 45.94 - almost a full second off the record that had stood since 1992. That was one of the best races I've seen in a very long time.

She is a breath of fresh air with her pure joy and excitement over her accomplishment and love for family. What a great interview!
