Thanks for the kind words......it's been 2 1/2 years since I won the contest and it's still sinking in. Seeing it at this stage has my excitement level rising rapidly

I think the builders are probably getting tired of my THANK YOU notes!!

Todd, Im so happy for you and that this is really coming together for you. I have only met Tim and Mary once and look forward to the next time, They are a great team and non better to be on board with this guitar!

Thanks Dennis, and of course I agree.........

Brock Poling has been kind enough to do some extra work on this as well.....he just sent me pictures of the binding work he's done. The binding itself is Madagascar RW, and it appears an EIR purf was added to the top (I LOVE that look!!!) I think it will tie in with the darker lines in the Koa very well.

Many thanks for Brock for going above and beyond with this and keeping me up to date.

Next it's off to Rob Bustos at Paragon for neck build and fitting....(fingerboard will also be bound with Madagascar!)

Here are the pics of the binding....this is going to be incredibly beautiful under finish!!

It's pretty, Todd. Very clean lines. I like that.

I think we made a good choice with the rosette and binding......under finish against the Koa it should be very unique and pretty.....

I'm anxious to see how this one turns out! What's left after the neck build, just the finish & setup?

That's my understanding Paul......I think it goes back to Tim at the end for the final setup and I'm (of course) planning on making the trip down to go through that with him and pick it up!!

Todd,

I'm obvioulsy late to this party, but this is so cool! I once read a book that had different chapters written by different authors, but it was all one book. That's what this reminds me of. I am very excited for you and it looks like it is coming together unbelievably!!

Can't wait to see how it continues! Any projected completion date?

Best,
Mike
