Default NGD: Franklin OM

Good evening, all!

I am very happy to report that I just purchased my first Franklin guitar (builder Nick Kuckich) from Jesse at BGS! He's great, by the way...
And speaking of Great! Ladies & gentlemen, this OM is spectacular. I'm not great at describing tone, so I won't try. I'll just say it is both complex and articulate. I'll do my best to post pics soon. She was born on October 10th, 2010.

Very nice! What woods?

I always like to watch vids of John Rebourne playing his Franklin OM.

Congrats!!!!

As they say, "Pics! Or it didn't happen!!!"

Seriously, this is an awesome addition. Nick Kukich is on my very short list of builders that I covet and the one Franklin I played a few years ago still piques my curiosity!!!

Congrats again on your new axe!!!!!

I traveled to England in order to attend (what would be his last) guitar masterclass. Watching John’s fingers glide all over the fretboard is a sight I’ll never forget. It was something akin to what people say who witnessed Ali shadow box and move in his day...you just have to see it in order to understand.
He was playing a Bown OMC at the time, though I do love the tone he got out of his Franklin guitars!
The woods on mine are European spruce over EIR.

Thank you!
Yeah, it’s a cool date. Unfortunately, it matches the day I got married the first time around...which didn’t work out so great. I guess by comparison though, this should go much better!! Haha

Sweet! A fine teacher as well.

How deep or shallow is the neck on your Franklin?
