Universal Audio Volt 2 and a cable.

No clue what I'm doing in the DAW. Lots to learn. Should be fun.

A set of Kluson tuners and adaptor bushings for my J45 Standard, along with a NoJak endpin for when I remove the pick up. Also a couple of saddles, a batch of strings and some thumbpicks.

  • Oasis hygrometer (the guitar came from Music Villa with a D'Addario Humidipak)
  • Music Nomad string care kit
  • Gibson classic leather strap
  • Tapastring strap keeper
  • Gibson pump polish
  • Fred Kelly thumbpicks

Oh, and I made a sweet stand. How do you upload a .jpg from my hard drive here? (I just read the FAQ: no posting from my hard drive. I have no idea how to put one of my photos on someone's website.) Oh well. The stand is a beauty.

I’m debating if I need Bovedas for all three acoustics (but the J-45 gets one in any case!). So I bought just one hygrometer and rotate it every few days among the cases. That way, at least, I can assume the readings are consistent.

The 0-18 and Gurian seem to hover at 55% (no Boveda) while the Gibson hangs between 46 and 49%. Did I just talk myself into two more Humidipaks? Or is this too much ado about nothing? I live in the East Bay, east of the tunnel, where we hit 106° in the summer, but my house has AC. We’ll see.

I’m new here. I bet humidity control is an active topic in the forum.

Just ordered another tuner for Board #3.

Picked up this Sonic Research ST-300 Mini, last time around (for Board #1).

This time around, I'm going with the full-sized unit with the sweetened tunings, etc. for Board #3.

Board #2 now has a tc electronic Polytune Mini Noir on it - which is nice, but not quite as accurate as the Turbo Tuner.

Extremely accurate tuners. Easy to read, unbelievably responsive, too. The picture doesn't begin to do justice to the clarity of the display.

Highly recommended!

OK, so, it doesn't have to be specifically for a guitar but could be music related...

So what music related gear did you just buy?
What made you buy that particular item?
Is it meeting your expectation?
Did you get a good deal?
I just ordered a vegan leather strap for my Taylor 224ce-k dlx. The one thing with this being a koa top is it can be hard to get straps that don't clash out with the koa, as opposed to a spruce top where nearly anything goes. And, well since I have Prime shipping, yes I got a good deal ;-)

New Wilkinson Roller Bridge for a 20-year old Gretsch I just bought.

It was my grandfathers. Still rang and had crystal clear audio when I last had a land-line over a decade ago. The handset feels like it weighs five pounds.

Nothing, really... last thing I "bought" was a set of Elixir 80-20 strings that I put on my Goodall last Fall... and a good friend gifted me another Blue Chip pick, an STP 50 last Fall as well...

Given the dearth of live venues around here, I have far more gear than I will ever need already!
