Default Eastman E8OM-TC - Any owners?

Hey all, Has anybody played this guitar? I know ive posted a bunch about OM's recently - I discovered tonight that eastman makes a torrefied spruce\rosewood OM.

A member here (Thank you, Scotso!) turned me on to a private builder that I'm going to commision a guitar through instead of the SCGC OM\PW. In the meantime - I love eastman's quality, but just curious if anybody has played their E8OM-TC.

I have the E20D-TC and it is my favorite guitar, I was hoping maybe this could be a nice 1 - 2 OM punch to the commissioned guitar. The commissioned one will be pre-war braced, torrefied spruce over madagascar rosewood. But, will also be 3x the price. So my thought was to have one traditional braced and one pre-war braced - ive always wanted a madagascar rosewood guitar.

I was just curious people's thoughts on the Eastman E8OM-TC, Would you forgo it and save the money for the commissioned guitar or is it like most eastmans, that punch above their weight and have a value far beyond their price?

Thank you for your responses!

If you like Eastman you will like the 8 series. I owned and sold mine quickly as I found the Eastman tone lacking the depth. But that says nothing about what you will like. Play it and see for yourself. If you are looking for inexpensive alternatives. I think Martin 16 series and Larrivee 40 series guitars sound like much more expensive OMs

I was floored by the goodness of the E20D-TC I played, and much less so
by an e20om...

I own several Eastman's including the E8OM-TC. It's a nice guitar but I wish Eastman would build their OM's to standard scale. Other than that I like it just fine.

I bought my Eastman E8 OM without ever having played an Eastman and was stunned by its beauty, tone, and overall boutique-level build. I would find one that you resonate with instead of commissioning a new guitar that you might not like. You won't know anything until you have it in your hands and play it.
Just my two cents.
