Swapping a UST for a SBT
Hello everyone, I have an epiphone masterbilt that has an under saddle transducer as well as a magnetic pickup at the end of the fretboard. There both routed to a blender and onboard preamp. I like the sound of soundboard transducers much better and am wondering if I can simply wire one up in place of the UST and still use factory preamp and blender with the mag. I think the SBT/mag blend would sound quite good together. Just not sure if it's as simple as I'm thinking, or knowing my luck probably not.
Thanks for the help!

Since UST's and SBT's are both piezo's with the same impedance range it should work fine to snip the UST and solder up an SBT in its place.

That's what I was hoping but didn't figure I'd be that lucky. Needed someone with more technical knowledge than me to confirm. Thanks!
