What pickup for a Baritone guitar?
Lets say that I wanted to put a pickup, probably a soundhole, into a Baritone Guitar. So it will need to be able to pickup (sp) the complexity of the low frequencies but also give good clear mids and trebles when up the neck.

Piezos and magnetics will handle the extended low frequency content just fine.
My baritone electric used the same magnetic pickups that a standard electric would use. |

And now I find that the powers that be have moved it to a place where no one will see it.There are few enough people as it is who can address the question if it stayed in the main forum. |

Schertler
I have the Schertler AG6 with the S mic in my Goodall Baritone and it is a fantastic pickup. It sounds great through the Rivera Sedona as well as studio monitors with a preamp.

K&K Pure mini works fine in my Yamamoto Baritone

I think his point was that any standard pickup will handle baritone frequencies just fine, no need for anything specialized. If you want a mag, try the Baggs M1 or M80.

Agreed. I tune my normal guitars down to C all the time, my Bari's in B or A, not really all that different.

As much as I have searched I've yet to see a pickup designed to be used specifically with baritone acoustic guitars. I ditto what the others have said, standard pickups will work fine. I would probably go for an SBT and a magnetic pickup if it were my guitar.

Thanks for the ideas, everyone, I appreciate it. I have some ideas. I'm actually looking for a pickup for a Baritone Weissenborn, but was looking for something that would do a good job on the lower frequencies. I do like K&Ks in my other guitars. Lindley is using Seymour Duncan. I have a friend with a Baggs M1.

I put an LR Baggs Lyric mic inside mine. It sounds wonderful.
