Default PSA Sennheiser price drops

Right now Sennheiser mic models e935 and e945 are both priced at $99 at most major retailers. That is $80 off the 935 and $120 off the 945!!!

I already have 2 935s and a 945 but grabbed another 945 as a backup.

Also, the e965 (hand held condenser) that had been priced at $699 is now $499. I ordered one of those and will provide my opinion on that next week some time.

Happy mic buying.

Thank you. Just put two 945's on back order. This is an absolute steal. Anyone that uses e945's will know this is an unbelievable sale. Thank you again YamahaGuy for posting.

Thanks! Just ordered an e945 to compliment the e835 I normally use.

Thank you very much. Just got an e935. Been using a 58 and an e835 with a dual looper mic setup for a while - but with that discount, I couldn’t resist upgrading.

For those who wonder about the difference between the two cardioid patterns and why I chose a 935-

“Sennheiser e945 can indeed deliver better audio quality for vocals, but only if the user has a decent technique in order to keep on-axis. In such case. Sennheiser e945 delivers fantastic results. However, for general purpose, Sennheiser e935 is more suitable. It is more tolerant to off-axis sounds. This is useful especially if the user actively moves, which is the case in live on-stage performances and for vocalists who play an instrument simultaneously.”

I understand. I've tried the 945 and I tend to move around a fair amount when I play and sing, and so the 935 works better for me if I'm playing and singing. If I just sing, the 945 sounds better for my vocals. I sang for 20 years prior to playing, so I have a decent handle on mic technique without playing. As for while playing, for me, eating the mic keeps me consistent.

I have both but mostly used the 945. My voice needs clarity and it helps provide that. Recommend either.

I run my e945 into a THCplay acoustic and find that I get the most realistic harmony and doubling effects when singing direct to the mic. Side singing is not an option. With an sm58 dead on or off axis the effects are too flighty and thin sounding. I couldn’t resist picking up another two e945s at this price.

I'm using a Beta 58A now. It's a super cardioid and I don't have a problem playing and singing with it. Would a Sennheiser E945 require that I stand more still then the Beta 58? For $99.00 I'd love to try a Sennheiser but I do tend to move a bit when I play.

Great points. I’m a “bite the mic” guy when singing lead, but usually off axis harmony guy. Split duties with my duet partner, basically.

For the price, I decided to also grab an e945 to compare. Worst case I can return it. Really a great deal. I wonder why it’s slashed so low. New model refresh coming out?

I was thinking about it today. Shure has release their newer mics two years ago, EV updated theirs. Blue changed the color of their Encore series. I can't help but think Sennheiser has got a new series coming out soon...

Thanks for the tip BTW. I picked up an E945 that I have been threatening to buy for a while. At that price, I was good to go. Used it last week and our female vocalist both loved it and sounded great with it.
thanks

Thanks YamahaGuy.

945 on b/o. At this price will be interesting to see how it compares to my 935.
