Default Looking for a UK based Luthier

I have a Gibson Advanced Jumbo made in Bozeman Montana with Cocobolo back and sides and an Adirondack top that has developed a bulge and the bridge is starting to pull away.

I need to get this repaired professionally and wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of someone who could undertake this.

Preferably in the Yorkshire area of the UK but I would be prepared to travel as the guitar is relatively valuable and worth a proper job.

Many thanks in advance

Bill Dinsdale in Keighley is your man.

Google "Bill Dinsdale guitars" and you will see his contact number.

Jim Fleeting in Manchester has been recommended to me several times by other luthiers, including some in the USA. That says a lot.

Cheers,
Steve

Just to say thank you to everyone who replied to this thread. Took the guitar to Jim Fleeting in Manchester mainly because he could get round to it quicker than Bill ( who was prompt in replying and seemed a good guy)

The guitar needed the neck off and shaving down to reset the angle. Jim did a great job and for anyone who worries about having this done......don't. After a couple of weeks the guitar sounds and plays better than its ever done.

Thank you.

Glad you got it sorted. I checked his website and his prices are reasonable.

If you had sent the guitar down south the neck reset would have set you back in excess of £300 !
