Default Bridge Reglue

I have a Seagull S6 with the bridge lifting in the bass corner. Top has bulged up maybe 1/8" on that side as well. My question is do I have to
1) do nothing
2) reglue and clamp the corner of the bridge only
3) remove and reglue the bridge completely

Guitar is 5 years old. Setup and plays well. I would be comfortable reglueing the corner only, but the whole removal might be over my head.

I would remove and refit.

You could however just glue and clamp and should it fail then give it to someone else to fix as your temporary fix will not affect the removal refitment process

I'd worry about the bulge still being there after you pull the bridge off, thus making a good reglue a bit harder to manage with that undulation in the gluing surface.

I'd probably lean toward finding a deep throated clamp that allows you to isolate clamping pressure to the corner, and just glue that back up. I'd use hot hide glue since it really pulls the wood surfaces together and is easier to release if you need to.

If it doesn't work, or it pulls up again, you could always remove the bridge then. Just know that you might nick up the surface as you gently pry the bridge off or have witness lines if not reglued perfectly in place. If the top is cedar, as many Seagulls are I think, that makes it an even dicey-er removal methinks.

All of that said, I'm no expert...just a slowly learning home luthier, cobbling together a handful of guitars and doing some fun projects on extreme cases.

Top bulge only on one side and it corresponds to a bridge lift? Check the braces, especially the X.
