Bartok on solo classical guitar? With slide? Well, why not?
Hi all,
Classical guitar and Bartók might not be your thing, but they are mine, and I just heard and saw this arrangement of Bartók's Romanian Folk Dances for the first time and was blown right away: https://youtu.be/Si5kNn9s2lg Not only does Sabuncuoglu use a capo on a couple of the pieces (which I've never seen done in classical guitarland), but he uses a slide. I know, shocking! Trent |

Interesting chord shapes and use of harmonics. Was also surprised by his use of a slide, as you said. Sounds a little like a Sitar, don't you think?
