Taylor 314ce Grand Auditorium Electro Acoustic, V-Class

Anyone of you guys own one of these?
Pro's & Cons?
I can currently get a good deal on one and am sorely tempted.

If I get a Taylor, I am waffling whether to choose a 314ce or a 414ce-R. One thing I like about the 314ce is it is a workhorse. I like the satin finish over the gloss finish and it does sound nice.

Of the V class Taylors I’ve played, the 314ce ones have been consistently the best.

The 314ce is the only model Taylor I've had the chance to do a side-by-side comparison of V-bracing versus X-bracing. The V-braced guitar to my ear had improved sustain - no question about it. Whether it improved the volume is debatable. Regardless, I thought they both sounded great.

I've played both side by side and the 314 and the 414ceR/v. And while I think the 314 is a good guitar, the 414ce-R is one of my favorites in the Taylor line. And with the V bracing I think it produces, to my ear and taste, a better sound that the 814v's I've played. I say play them both and buy the one that best suits you. The 314 might be what you're looking for, but if money isn't the issue, then I'd strongly encourage you to test both. Good luck.
