Default Action/neck setup in different shape/scale

Hi everyone, I would like to ask you if there is any difference in the ideal strings action and slightly bow of the neck, in relation to body shape and scale of the guitars.
For example , I have a 000 with 25.4 scale length, the height of low E at twelfth fret is around 7/64 (0.1102) and I feel it wonderful.
I also have a new acquired parlor (NGD post coming soon) that is more a 00 size with a 24.7 of scale length. I reduced the bow of the neck in order to match the one of my 000. The height at twelfth fret is 31/256 (0.1209).
Before to lower it, I would ask you if it is better live it like this since it has a different scale, or not?
Thanks in advance for your replies.

A shorter scale is going to generate a lower tension. I don't have a short scale acoustic, but for electrics I have both. On an electric, I run a heavier gauge of string, otherwise the bass strings get too floppy (electric strings tend to be slinky anyway). Another option is a "balanced tension" set which compensates for lower tension on the wound strings. I don't know if they make balanced tension acoustic strings (haven't seen them).

The best you can do is get the relief set properly and then cut another saddle for lower action and see how it plays. If it doesn't play well, you can always put the original saddle back in.

For me .1209 is extremely high.

But then again so is .1102

I play .011"s and set em all at .052" string 6 at 12th and .042" 1st string at 12.

From 24.75" scale to 25.5"

Purest's will tell you my setup is too low and will buzz.

I've got the nicest playing acoustics I've ever played. If you're in my area you're welcome to give them a go.

That would be way too high for me as well. It depends on your playing style as well as the condition of the neck and frets. I fingerpick and so don't need high action. 5/64" on the E and 3 or 4/64" on the e works for me. My scale lengths have ranged from 24" to 25.5". But personal preferences are all over the map.

All of my guitars are setup with the nuts cut at fret height, relief of 0.005” and action at 0.090” and 0.065”. Unless you have a very short scale, such as 24” there is no need to alter string gauge. I use Elixir nano lights, or Martin Monel lights on all my guitars.

Thanks for the advice and the try offer, but I live in Italy now and I suppose it is not so near :-)

Thanks, the neck relief seems to be fine. I will follow your suggestion and I will buy a new saddle in order to test a lower action.

Thanks to all, I will try to lower the action on my parlor around to 0.09” and se how It works. If will be ok, I will do the same with my 000.
