I hope you're well. I thought of you on our recent colleges visit trip - Northwestern, Loyola and DePaul. We used train from Evanston but drove home via that mail ramp on Loyola campus.

I especially hope you're well on context of those private chats a few years ago, and I can report my wife's still cancer free.

Hi, I've been wondering about "Chicago" Sandy and sincerely hope she's doing fine (she was very supportive when I was going through my cancer treatment - a road she had travelled herself.

Because of that and the passing years (and passing hairline) these are the most recent I can find of the Silly Moustache:

me and my 1929 Stewart ( still a work in progress but coming) the painting in the background is appropriate on the 100th anniversary of the launch of the Bluenose. it was my grandfathers who ran Halifax harbour in WWII, he received the painting as a wedding present of the bluenose in the americas cup getting ready to round the buoy. i restored the painting and then made the oak display cabinet for it this year to celebrate the 100th anniversary.

Is that a Talkovich guitar you're playing? . Looks great.

I like that back wall of musicians.

Thanks Dru, it's a great place to play, here's a little more about the Northside Wall o' Fame.

That guitar has been w/ me nine years now, here's it's current state. I had a number of anodized aluminum pickguards and control plates custom made years ago and been wondering what would work w/ the one silver colored 'guard.

Nice pics.

I pursued an out of band catch up with Sandy. Hopefully she'll make a post. Just how top ranking or quality with caps lock Q she is shined through when my wife was in trouble. It wasn't just that kindness but something she revealed in discussing help she gave to someone else without family or good support.

Remembering that period, your well being has been on my mind too. I'm happy to report my wife's strong with no evidence of cancer. I like to think it was all just a chapter to remind how strong and beautiful people can be.
